Information

Fees:

Consulting for private residences is billed at $125 per hour with a minimum commitment of 2 hours. There is a requirement of a non-refundable deposit of $250 to confirm an appointment, for in person or remote service.

 

Commercial consulting is billed at an hourly rate of $150 per hour, with a 4-hour minimum commitment. Some commercial projects may have the option of utilizing the hourly rate for the consultation and walk-through, followed by a flat rate for the completion of the project.

 

Travel:

There is no cost to the client for local travel, with the exception if the designer meets clients in multiple locations in the same day. Travel outside the greater Lakewood area on behalf of the client will be charged at the hourly rate.

 

Payments are to be Cash on Delivery when presented with an invoice.  Payments are accepted via Zelle (hindanj@gmail.com), Cash or Check made to Hinda Friedman, 3 Calendula Ct, Jackson , NJ 08527.

 

Contractors:

While Design by Hinda may recommend contractors for work for certain projects, a recommendation is by no means any representation of any degree of responsibility for the contractor’s work.

 

Products:

While Design by Hinda may recommend products to purchase, such as furniture or decorating materials, a recommendation is by no means any representation of any degree of responsibility for the quality of the recommended product.

 

Referral Fees:

It is common practice for retail locations to provide referral fees to designers who bring clients.  While Design by Hinda will not exclusively use these vendors, we are halachically obligated to disclose that a referral fee may be paid to the designer in many instances.  Design by Hinda though will never “upcharge” a client to a retail location.

 

Disputes:

If a client believes that an invoice is inaccurate, they must communicate their concern in writing within 7 days upon receipt of invoice.

Should there be any disputes between a client and Design by Hinda, by choosing to use Design by Hinda the client is agreeing to mediation at the Bais Din of the Bais Havaad of Lakewood.
